Join the Sahana Software Foundation for Sahana Camp LA to be held on October 24-25 at the City of Los Angeles' Emergency Operations Center. Sahana Camp LA is a free 2-day program designed to provide individuals and organizations with an understanding of the needs for managing information in response to disasters paired with a practical technical workshop to provide instruction in how Sahana Software can be deployed within and across organizations.

As I prepare for my departure from the City of LA (effective August 25), I wanted to introduce you to the new Emergency Management University Consortium program coordinator, Caitlin Ishigooka. Caitlin will continue to manage the website and offer quarterly meetings/workshops. Many of you may have met her at the last EMUC Best Practices Workshop. She recently completed her Master of Public Administration at USC, and has been working at EMD since June 2011. She is really excited to work with all of you.
